Title Opinions
A title opinion is a legal review of a title clearance report that determines whether your project’s title is available and low-risk for infringement or related clearance claims, helping avoid disputes and distribution delays. Typically required by your E&O provider as well as for delivery to your distribution partners.
- WAM Entertainment Law offers title opinions at flat rate structures with turnaround times of 7-10 business days, 3-5 business days, or 1 business day from receipt of the title report.
- NOTE: Title reports are handled by third-party provider to be selected by client.
Chain-Of-Title Opinions
A chain-of-title opinion is a legal review of a production’s production and chain-of-title paperwork alongside a copyright report that confirms the producer holds clear, documented rights to the complete project, confirming the project can be distributed without ownership disputes. Sometimes required by your E&O provider as well as for delivery to your distribution partners for complex rights chains.
- WAM Entertainment Law offers chain-of-title opinions at flat rate structures with turnaround time options of 10 business days or 5 business days (faster turnarounds based on availability) from receipt of the full production legal paperwork and copyright report.
- Copyright reports are handled by third-party provider to be selected by client
Clearance Reports
We conduct a review of your content and can prepare the following clearance reports to identify and address potential rights concerns (additional details avail HERE):
- Script Clearance Reports.
- Film Clearance Reports following review of rough and fine cuts.
- Episodic Clearance Reports following review of rough and fine cuts.
General Ongoing Guidance/Assistance

- Assistance in securing Errors & Omissions (E&O) insurance policy, including review of E&O applications.
