
June was a whirlwind in the best way for WAM Entertainment Law CEO & Managing Partner Alexa Whiteside! From coast-to-coast connections at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City and the Women in Entertainment Summit in Los Angeles, to the honor of presenting the annual Pro Bono Awards on behalf of the Pro Bono Committee at the North Carolina Bar Association’s Annual Meeting, the summer has started strong, and purposefully so.
While the Tribeca Film Festival and WIE Summit offered space to connect with fellow creatives, storytellers, and industry changemakers, the NCBA Annual Meeting was a meaningful reminder of the impact pro bono work has across our profession and in helping in the relief efforts in Western North Carolina following Hurricane Helene last year. Presenting this year’s awards was a personal and professional highlight.
